Privacy policy

Enversion-Journl ApS

Protecting your personal data and keeping it confidential is important to Enversion Journl.

This privacy policy gives you the information you need about how we process your personal data.

The data controller for your personal data is Enversion Journl ApS, CVR no. 43251953, Mariane Thomsens Gade 6, st., 8000 Aarhus C, Denmark. You are always welcome to contact Enversion-Journl at info@journl.dk if you have questions about how your personal data is processed.

When Enversion-Journl processes your personal data on behalf of a healthcare provider as part of a clinical course, Enversion-Journl is the data processor and the healthcare provider is the data controller.

Where does your personal data come from?

If you are a partner or supplier of Enversion-Journl:

If you contact Enversion-Journl as part of your cooperation with the company (partners and suppliers), we receive the personal data we process about you directly from you or from the organisation you work for.

If you take part in a clinical course:

When you use Enversion-Journl as part of a clinical course, Enversion-Journl processes your personal data on behalf of your healthcare provider (hospital). The healthcare provider decides which data we receive and process, and the hospital is the data controller.

Data controller vs. data processor

Because Enversion-Journl decides the purpose and scope of processing your personal data when you are in direct contact with the company – for example as a supplier or partner – Enversion-Journl is the data controller for this personal data.

For patients who use the web or mobile app as part of a clinical course, the healthcare provider is the data controller for the personal data that is registered and processed. Enversion-Journl is the data processor for the healthcare provider.

What is your personal data used for?

Your personal data is used to have a direct dialogue with you and/or to interact with you in other ways (for example on social media or at events).

If you are a patient in a clinical course, your personal data is processed to deliver the service we have agreed with the data controller (the purpose is decided by your healthcare provider).

Specifically, your personal data is used for the following purposes:

‍

Website, social media and direct dialogue:

  • Answering questions, comments, etc.
  • Having a direct dialogue
  • Publishing statements and case stories about Enversion-Journl
  • Registering your participation in events, user groups, etc.
  • Sending newsletters, etc., if you ask for them

‍

Clinical courses:

The personal data we process on behalf of a healthcare provider – where we are the data processor – is processed for the purpose set by the data controller. The purpose is to document, show and communicate health conditions to the clinicians involved in your course.

This also includes:

  • Creating your user account
  • Collecting data needed to deliver the requested service
  • Answering your questions to our support team
  • Developing our solution and services
  • Finding and fixing errors in our solution (bug fixing), including storing log data

What types of personal data are processed?

If you are a partner or supplier, we process general personal data such as your name, contact details and job title.

If you are in dialogue with us on Facebook or LinkedIn, or at trade fairs and events, we process general personal data such as your name, contact details and possibly your job title.

If you take part in a clinical course, we process the personal data that the data controller (your healthcare provider) considers relevant for your course. This includes general personal data about you, such as your name, contact details, date of birth, gender and patient ID. We also process your CPR number (Danish civil registration number) to verify your identity with MitID, as well as relevant health data.

Recipients or categories of recipients

We share your personal data with our data processors, who among other things help us host our data and provide solutions for customer service and support.

We do not share your personal data with other independent data controllers.

If you take part in a clinical course, your healthcare provider (for example the hospital or clinic) and the clinicians involved in your course have access to your personal data. The healthcare provider is the data controller for this data.

Transfers to recipients in third countries, including international organisations

Personal data may be transferred to recipients in third countries – typically the USA.

For transfers to third countries, we use the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework as the legal basis for the transfer.

Data processed as part of clinical courses is stored and processed in Denmark and is NOT transferred to third countries.

How long we keep your personal data

The Enversion-Journl app:

  • We delete the data we process on behalf of the healthcare provider in accordance with the data processing agreement made with the data controller.

Website, social media and direct dialogue:

  • We keep your data for as long as we need it, and then it is deleted. This includes, for example, email correspondence and other dialogue. If the law requires us to keep your personal data, we keep it for as long as that obligation applies.

You have a number of rights regarding how we handle data about you. These include:

  • The right to see your data (right of access)
  • The right to rectification (correction)

  • The right to object
  • The right to data portability

Legal basis for our processing

The Enversion-Journl app:

Personal data processed as part of your participation in a clinical course is processed only under a data processing agreement with your healthcare provider.

Website, social media and direct dialogue:

If you interact with us, for example as a contact person at one of our partners or on social media, we process your data on the basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). This can happen if you, for example, comment on, “like” or share our posts. In these cases, we consider that you could reasonably expect us to process your personal data, and that the processing does not conflict with your fundamental interests and rights. If you contact us with a view to entering into a contract, we process your personal data on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – entering into a contract or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Complaints to the Danish Data Protection Agency

You have the right to complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) if you are not satisfied with how your personal data is processed. You can find the agency’s contact details at www.datatilsynet.dk
